Citizens Advice Basingstoke CEO to depart after 19 years

Citizens Advice Basingstoke’s Chief Executive Officer, Graham Hatcher, has announced today that he will be leaving the charity on 30th June 2026 after more than 19 years’ service in the role. The charity provides free and confidential advice to help people resolve difficult or distressing problems, whatever they involve.

Graham Hatcher, outgoing CEO said: “After 19 years of service, I have decided that the time is right for me to move on. During my time here, as a team we have navigated many changes and challenges - most recently the Covid lockdown and our move to new offices. Through it all, the dedication of our team has ensured that we continue to grow and that our work is held in such high regard. This has been reflected in achievements such as being named Local Charity of the Year and securing continued funding for our vital services. Most important of all it is reflected in the gratitude of those people we have helped.”

Tony Curtis, Chair of the Trustee Board said: “I would like to record our appreciation of Graham’s long and dedicated service and of his commitment to improving the lives of people in need in Basingstoke. During Graham’s time as CEO, Citizens Advice Basingstoke has delivered quality, trusted services to a growing clientele, and has been financially sound throughout.”

Tony continued: “We wish Graham success and happiness in the future. Citizens Advice Basingstoke will now begin the process of recruiting a successor, and will put interim arrangements in place to cover the period after Graham leaves and before his successor is in post. The Board will share updates on leadership succession in due course.”
